Salon Policies
At Opal Hair Studio, our policies allow us to protect appointment time for every guest and provide a consistent, relaxed experience in the salon. We appreciate your understanding.
Appointments & Cancellations
Because your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you, we require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Appointments changed or cancelled within 24 hours will be charged the full cost of the scheduled service, as well as missed appointments. For appointments requiring a non-refundable deposit, we kindly ask for 48 hours' notice.
A credit card is required to reserve all appointments. New chemical service appointments require a $100 non-refundable deposit, which is applied toward your service. If an appointment is cancelled or changed within the 48-hour window, the deposit is forfeited and the remaining balance will be charged to the card on file.
If an emergency arises, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to assist with rescheduling.
We understand that unexpected situations may arise and appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy. Thank you for valuing our time as much as we value yours. We look forward to your next visit!
Arrival Time
A five-minute grace period is provided for all appointments. Late arrival may limit our ability to complete your service as scheduled. If adjustments cannot be made within the remaining appointment time, the original service cost will still apply.
Salon Experience
To maintain a calm and comfortable environment for all guests, we ask that children and additional guests not accompany you to your appointment. We do not provide services for guests under the age of 12. Please be advised self-service drying stations are no longer available. A finish or blow-dry may be added to your color service if needed.
A patch test may be required prior to chemical services at the discretion of your stylist.
Payments & Gratuity
A credit card is required to reserve appointments, though alternative payment methods may be used at checkout. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. Gratuity may be added to checks, and some stylists accept gratuities through Venmo. Gratuity cannot be added to credit card transactions. There is a $40 returned check fee.
Adjustments & Refunds
Opal Hair Studio does not offer refunds on services or products. If an adjustment is needed, please contact us within two weeks of your appointment so we may schedule a correction if appropriate. Retail products, excluding hot tools, sale items, clips, brushes, makeup, and Kitsch products, may be exchanged within 30 days. Refunds are not issued; however, a credit may be applied to your account for future purchases.
While visiting Opal Hair Studio, we kindly ask guests to keep personal belongings with them at all times. Although we do our best to maintain a safe and welcoming environment, Opal Hair Studio cannot assume responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
For your convenience, we recommend keeping valuables such as handbags, jewelry, coats, and electronics within your view during your appointment.
If you believe you may have left an item behind, please contact the salon as soon as possible and our team will gladly check our lost-and-found.
Gift cards are non-refundable, non-transferable, and expire two years from the activation date.
Opal Hair Studio reserves the right to refuse service when deemed appropriate.
